In what will possibly be the lowest scoring game all season and the only game to almost go into overtime, the Eagles beat the Ravens on Saturday 28-20. While all the pregame hype was about the controversy which landed T.O. in Philadelphia. The game itself showed the defenses and the running games take charge. With only 2 catches T.O. had a disappointing outing. With both QBs unable to control the turnovers (3 INT's for McNabb and 2 INT's for Boller) it proved to be a contest between Jamal Lewis and Brian Westbrook. The Eagles got one of their 2 INTs early in the game however it looked bad for the Eagles when Brian Westbrook went down with an injury in the 2nd offensive series and Mark Simoneau went out with an injury on the 2nd defensive series. Both however were only suffering from leg cramps and were able to come back. A fumble on a kick return late in the first half looked to be what the Eagles would need to break the game open. However, the Raven's D stood up to the test and kept the Eagles from scoring. Late in the 2nd half the Ravens were down 21 - 20 and were mounting a long drive down the field. Jamal Lewis fumbled the ball and Westbrook proved who was better when he scored his 4th rushing TD of the game. The Eagles were celebrating on the sideline until with less than a minute left Boller started to mount a comeback. The Raven's had the ball inside the 10 with 2 seconds left and a chance to tie with a touchdown and 2 pt. conversion. But Boller proved true to form when he threw an incompletion. With a heartbreaking loss the 1-1 Ravens will face the 2-0 Redskins next week. While another close win puts the 2-0 Eagles against the 0-2 Giants.
As the snow blew in to New York from Lambeau field, the Chiefs and Giants prepared for a death struggle to leave the Tournament of Chumpions basement...The Giants opened up the scoring early, jumping to a 17-7 lead by the start of the 2nd quarter. The Chiefs, sensing defeat, rallied to take the lead 21-17 with a couple of minutes left to go in the half. After stopping a Giants drive to regain the lead before halftime, the Chiefs struck quickly to end the half up 28-17. The second half saw an inspired Chiefs team clicking on all cylinders, carrying the momentum from the first half to a 77-50 victory, although the game wasn't that close - the Chiefs led by as many as 40 points, but the Giants were able to close the gap by recovering and scoring on 2 consecutive onside kicks. This game was an offensive coordinator's dream, with both teams combining for over 1100 yards of offense.
53 21...more later...
It was a snowy day at Lambeau Field. The arctic conditions looked to favor the Pack. However, the Redskins got off to a quick start, scoring 22 points to Green Bay's zippy. Mark Brunell made a spectacular 3rd down conversion when he was pressured out of the pocket, scrambled outside and sacrificed the body for a 1st down. Favre had Marcus Washington and Lavaar Arrington breathing down his neck all day, causing 6 turnovers. Portis had the most spectacular TD run in all of ESPN NFL 2K5 history, breaking about 5 tackles and finally performing a high wire act to stay in bounds for the score (Ben will dispute this, but he was too busy throwing a hissy fit to challenge the play before the replay came up. The field was so covered in snow it's unlikely the officials would have overturned the call on the field anyway.) So, my baby was born on the 21st and 21 is the magic numbers that my opponents just can't seem to get past, I have a felling John's Ravens may be just the team to break that streak. I felt bad taking Ben out of the competiton but we'll see you at the Super Bowl Mr. Conrad! I should add that Ben was gracious enough to come to my house to play the game, thanks sir!
After a surprising week 1 ( well, to me anyway), week 2's schedule promises more fun and hijinks for all...

Play these games between the 24th and 30th and talk your trash here!
The final game of week 1 saw the Eagles beat the Packers 32-18. It was a very emotional game for both sides. The first score of the game came on the most bizarre play of the season. After the Packers were able to stop the Eagles from scoring a TD on the 1 yard line it looked like it would be all Packers in this game. However, this all changed when the Packers first offensive play of the game saw Ahman Green run for 5 yards only to be called back for a holding call in the endzone which gave the Eagles a safety. The Eagles took over the first half and cruised to a 32-7 lead. With a balanced aerial attack and two short yardage rushing TDs the Eagles looked unbeatable. The fans were wondering if it was time for Ben Favre to hang up his cleats after 14 years and another subpar performance. Would the teams future rest in the hands of Craig Nall? The second half saw Ben Favre command the Packers passing attack which culminated in a Bubba Franks TD and 2-pt conversion to bring the score to 32-15 and proving that he still has at least 2 games left in his career. The Packers defense shut down the Eagles offense in the second half. The Eagles were unable to even get the ball into field goal position. Early in the 4th quarter the Packers were forced to decide whether to go for a field goal or try for it on 4th down. After settling for the field goal and making the score 32-18, Eagles fans were wondering if this years choke would come before the NFC championship game. In the end 32 points was enough for the Eagles to go on to beat the Packers and set up a meeting of 1-0 teams next week agains the Ravens.
In a game dominated by the men in purple and black, the Ravens blew up on the Giants: 49-22. Kyle Boller led the way with 379 yds and 5 TDs, and Jamal Lewis had 197 yds rushing and 2 TDs. The Giants attempted a late game comeback, but the deficit was simply too big to overcome.
Ravens 1-0, Giants 0-1
The season has officially begun. The Chiefs got off to a quick start when Trent Green threw a quick strike over the middle to Gonzalez for a TD, not bad for the 2nd play of the game. However, the Skins were carried on the mighty back of Clinton Portis to a 58 to 21 victory over Brent's Chiefs. Laveranues Coles had about 230 recieving yards and 3 TD's to cap off the Redskins victory. I would say more, but Brent is looking over my shoulder as I type this ;p

Good luck guys! Oh, and we're having our baby Wednesday!
I'm thinking that Time of Day and weather should be random, too. It's more fun that way - I'd rather play in the mud anyway.
calling him "Nothing Else". Since I won't be seeing him in the regular season or playoffs "Nothing Else" will matter. ;)
Here's a new rule for you:
Whenever you refer to me, you must refer to me as "Fantasy Football League Champion" John. I will respond to nothing else.
